Who's going to Hell today?

Bill Napoli.

Who's going to Hell today?

Something unbelievably frustrating happened to me recently.

I was on my way to a lunch date when I got caught in traffic on the 99 N. The 99 is a raised freeway at this point, so it was pretty easy to figure out that it was an accident. The firetruck, ambulance, and roaring police cars gave it away.

Creep creep creep along. It takes forever for traffic to move past this because there are three lanes going down to one and it isn't clear until very close to the accident which lane is left open.

People: not good at merging. If we were ants we'd have no problem with this.

Eventually I get closer to the accident and I see that it is a taxicab with a big dent in it. Mr. Taxi Driver is lying on the ground strapped to a stretcher but other than that, he looks ok. There are about 12 city employees standing around. I try to keep my eyes firmly fixed ahead, inching forward waiting for that magic place just past the yellow cones where it will be time to step on the gas and get away from this mess.

The smushed taxi is pretty dramatic, I admit.

The women driving the car in front of me is not as focused as I am. Also, she is a demon from hell.

Instead of stepping on the gas and getting out of the way of the 1876 cars that have piled up behind us, she slows down as we drive past the accident site.

Then, she sticks her cell phone out of the window and takes a picture

You, crazy, rude, horrible, inconsiderate, privacy-invading monster: you are going to hell.
