Bainbridge Island

On the 24th Dan and I took a ferry to Bainbridge Island on the spur of the moment. It was surprisingly cheap, about $17.00 for the two of us and the car. The ferry ride took about 30 minutes and went very quickly - we were both mesmerized by the scenery.

Winslow is the main town, near the ferry dock. It's a cute little place with a lot of art galleries and clothing stores and gift shops.

Dan went catatonic in about five minutes but gallantly squired me up and down the main drag as I window-shopped. After, we drove back over the land route, which is quite the long way around sought and east.

Apparently there are some very nice parks with hiking on the island; what we saw was not particularly attractive one way or another.
