Christmas + Hannukkah

Christmas morning: wake up, called family, received thanks, open enough presents to appease givers who haven't yet converted from generic atheist-Christianity. Immediately put on all articles of clothing received and go outside for artistically posed photographs as proof of wearability.

DH and I explored the Washington Arboretum, which is "a spectacular urban green space on the shores of Lake Washington just east of downtown Seattle and south of the University of Washington."

It was bright when we left. It's been so warm recently that the trees have started to sprout buds again. It had rained all night, so the ground was very soggy. There was mud. There was slipping. More shall not be revealed.

The next stop was the traditional Chinese restaurant. The Seattle Post-Intelligenser may think it's on to something new, but we were way ahead of them. Besides, who else is open?
